A life lesson in all the complexities we have yet to understand about the art being human. Dylan carries pure light within him seemingly ignited by human resilience . Thank you Kimberly for allowing me to set sail on this journey. I can only imagine how Dylan has changed your life. I know he has changed mine. I see I am not the only one; the word perspective , when I am in need of, I will remember Dylan . I can think of no higher compliment than to say , his name will be synonymous with the indomitable power of the human spirit.

Permission to copy and paste this into my text chain with Dylan please? What a gorgeous, overflowing reflection. Your words reached right through my little screen and threw glitter into my heart. Dylan = Indomitable power of human spirit. I just looked up the meaning of the name Dylan and it says: of Welsh origin, "son of the sea" or "born from the ocean". Which works quite well with your meaning. Dylan, born from the indomitable power of the ocean, eventually becomes the ocean.

My god, Dylan's answer to whether he would give up all he's learned was just so honest and humble and profound. I don't think it'll ever leave me. I'm so grateful that these recordings exist. It's such a privilege to spend time with him, and you, love.

Isn't it? I love how he reframes the question at the end—after admitting Yes, of course I'd want my life back—to Would I give up my soul in order to be healthy again? Of course not. ;)

Thank you for being here with us beauty. Whenever I see your name pop up I feel a whisper of wings enfold around me.

Also deeply appreciative of him speaking to ones rights over their own lives, and the importance of having choices available which don’t include the stress of dear ones potentially facing prosecution… The debate is raging over here as I type, and there aren’t enough voices like Dylan’s in the mix… Love to you.

Gosh, I didn’t know this was a hot debate in the UK right now. I know even in the states that allow Death with Dignity, investigations and policing are still very present. It’s agonizing to imagine the toll this takes on an already grieving family. If there is anything Dylan, or his book, might be able to do to add to this conversation over there in the UK, please let me know.

Thanks, beauty. That’s really good to know. I’ve referenced him a lot in discussions, lately. They’re voting in parliament on the Assisted Dying bill next Friday, and it could mean that assisted dying might be legal for the first time ever, here. It’s been pretty wild to see how heated it’s become, and while I fully appreciate the need for very serious regulatory measures (and a significant increase in sound palliative care so that people aren’t opting for assisted dying because they can’t access the care they need) the fact that someone in Dylan’s position is currently denied legal autonomy over how the end of their life looks is legitimately insane… Anyway, lots of thoughts and feelings. I’ll be in touch ❤️

Yes, perspective is exactly it. Thanks for bringing that word into the picture today. We need a whole camera bag of lenses to survive the darkness. ;)

jaqueline dean and you bring so much joy hope reflection this morning and the compelling presence she describes so accurately in the middle of video, your own, pairs movingly with your friend dean's indomitable spirit....i look forward to reading the book 🫶

(and your own memoir and collected writings in a more straightforward chronological way 😊)

Thanks for listening Appleton King! I think you mean Dylan, not Dean... but I'll admit, Dylan does have a little James Dean aura about him, so no harm there. ;) Indomitable. Yes, that's the word!

Still working on getting my work in a more chronological format. Agent and publisher pitching at the moment. We'll see what the gods decide!

I’m SO glad that I found this Kimberly, despite my being off line for a time.

You beautifully shared Dylan’s heart with us.

And the song Liam wrote is beyond.. beyond well, pretty much everything. I hope Liam makes it available for sale.

Having read Dylan's book and seen many of the videos, the new aspect that really struck me in this one is you, Kim - the bond and the friendship you have developed with him, and how you have been such a champion for him and his story. It's a rare and beautiful devotion to witness. 🩷

Gosh, this really got me Troy. Thank you for seeing this, reflecting it back to me. I'm not sure I believe in fate but from the moment Dylan and I first connected, there's been some other force keeping our lives entangled. I can't quite explain it but it certainly has me questioning whether reincarnation is a thing! Seems our connection goes far beyond the few years we've know each other.
