Kim, my first thought when I read your personal movie review was The Blair Witch Project!

Haha! That's exactly what it was!

Such a great idea — to think of a situation in your life as a movie. It feels like a good way to get a bit of distance from what could be an intense time.

Sometimes, in harder times, I think of myself as the hero of the movie and I try to think about what the hero would do in this situation how would they respond to the situation at hand.

Thanks Kimberly :)

Your "what would a hero do" exercise just illustrated how crucial it is for media to portray heroes with all sizes, colors, shapes and affinities. If the entire human family can see themselves represented somewhere, somehow, through our stories, then those lifelines are so much more readily available. Glad our society is waking up to this finally!

That’s a great point, Kimberly. Representation is important.

Wow. That is bloody brilliant! Here's my take, such as it is (aka not poet laureate or luminary)

Panic Room - a limited series, dramedy (hopefully), blockbuster (to me) likely a sleeper to everyone around me. Audience of one, actually two. My husband has the unfortunate task of watching it with me. I'm hoping I'm about half way through the series, so I'm going to give it a 3-star review because I feel like it's leading somewhere not shitty. According to my husband, I am not allowed to re-write. Because if I wasn't here, I'd likely be the Titanic instead.

Kim I love this so much!!! How true, the audience of one or two... so much of life feels this way, especially when we most desperately need the world to hear us. But what a relief to feel halfway through the series that it’s on an upward trajectory! Keep us posted on how those last episodes go.❤️

This is so clever in its reframing. I would give the trilogy of my seizures and face breaking a big fat zero on the Rotten Tomatoes scale and I would have been shouting like Liz Taylor for a stunt double for all the seizures AND surgeries. I'd also need a stylist for the whole Bond villain vibe I was left with, lol.

Now if only we could get stunt doubles for our real lives! I could think of a thousand scenarios they would come in handy. ;)

Thanks for sharing, Kimberly. It's amazing that even in such a situation a change in perspective can bring forth something so humorous and witty.

Well, Andrea is quite an exceptional human so I’m never too surprised by the magic she spins while in the midst of suffering.

I was wondering how “Andrew” ended up with ovarian cancer. I was wholly confused and plunged into a gender identity crisis! I found soothing relief as I kept reading.😂

Thank you for pointing that out. I forgot to include both their names at the top of this post!
