"I’d harvest baskets full, smoosh my face into her petals, and breathe in until I was drunk—a honeybee high on her pepper-grass scent." I do this with the bouquets Joe gifts me and it is truly a heavenly high!
What incredible products!!! I love the branding!! Ahhh!! What can't she do?! 😍
Say what??!! You never cease to amaze me. Your talents are unbelievable. And of course you love rolling around in flowers my sweet friend. That tracks. I think you are my soul sister.
I just discovered calendula for my garden last year. I LOVE it. I don't know if I'm patient enough to figure out how to make face fluff with it though. I'm looking forward to trying yours! xo
Soul sisters indeed. Tell you what, if you ever make it out to Oregon, I’ll make a batch with you so you can be inspired to create with yours too! It’s seriously fun. My favorite part is harvesting, the blossoms are sunny and fragrant and irresistible. 🌸🌼
I never planned on it! But after too many people told me they couldn’t live without it, I thought, what’s the harm in having a side biz that is nurturing, both to create and share?
Aww shucks. I appreciate hearing that, especially on the cusp of my 50th bday. I must admit, since I started using these products, people keep commenting on it, so I have to think there's something to this little flower!
Love how you weave your obsessions into creation—whether it’s words, kombucha, or calendula. Face Fluf feels less like a product and more like bottled devotion. Also, “rolling naked in a field of calendula” is now officially on my bucket list. 💜
From the first sentence, or more specifically, the phrase ‘calendula kimono’ — I was intrigued. What is that I thought?
Reading on, I found myself smiling at the story of how you came to make and sell this product. It looks and sounds incredible Kimberly! And I am very intrigued by its healing properties (always looking for that stuff!)
I really wish I could commit to a paid subscription, not just for the calendula kimono, but just to support one of my favourite writers on Substack.
But unfortunately, at the moment, it’s just not something I can do :( … what I will gladly do, though, is continue to be a loyal reader of your work :)
You as a loyal reader (and that you ARE!) is more than any little fluffy exchange could buy. I cherish your bright, insightful engagement, just about as much as I love reading what you have to offer over here. It's a win win and please know I feel your abundant support every time you pop up over here. ;)
I am in love with Face Fluff and need to be a patron! I'd wanted to see in Spring if there was any way to grow Calendula in the garden here in Cambridge, but my green thumb remains a question mark. I think I may be occupied with editing and researching bees for my next project :)
Yes! Then you’ll have the complete system. It’s what I use every day and night.:) I’ll send them out to you tomorrow! (I still have your address from Etsy. If it’s changed since your last order just let me know.) 🌸
nerd promo: Kimberly Warner offers a chance for you to get fluffed, associated with a SubStack subscription to her fascinating newsletter: Unfixed.
Seems that she has wandered down the calendula trail and come back with some pleasing topical products for skin care. (There is a body of pharmacognostical science behind her offering which you can delve into within the open archives of weedom. ) Check out her double offer 👍🏼
Love this weedom friend! Yes, calendula is quite magical. I knew it was powerful as an internal remedy but I had no idea it would be so universally loved slathered on the skin as well. It's a joy to work with the flower as well. Even though she's supposed to be an annual, she tends to continue blooming all the way through early winter and the same plants (as well as the self-seeded starts) have even come back the following spring. That's some serious rejuvenation. :)
Ya, calendula has a load of anti-inflammatories, immune modulators, and anti-microbials which inspire people to add it to topical products. I like to try to overwinter a bit of it in my high tunnel, which has been more of a challenge this year than last. weedomdotsubstackdotcom/p/calendula-in-december, for people who need to see why they should know this weed.
Wonderful!!! I saw your email and will get this out to you tomorrow. Thank you so much for your love and support Jen! It’s so fun to share something tangibly healing and rejeuvenating with my readers. 🌸❤️
You are one unstoppable beautiful lady, no wonder you always look so radiant! 🌼
It's all the calendula. Little sunshines on stems. :)

Ohmygosh you DO do that! I think you've even written about it. I think it might be in my top ten favorite things about being alive.

It's a date. xo
(And I'm so excited for your memoir. I can hardly wait to have a hard copy. Next to Dylan's :)
Wow, a new business. You amaze.

Just ordered a Flufette on Etsy!
Wonderful! I just saw your order come in and will ship it out tomorrow. Thank you Elizabeth! 🌸

Thank you Kimberly. And I’d like to add that, I too feel blessed every time I see your support pop up in response to my work. :)
How did we/I not know this about you?! So amazing, Kimberly. Love the design and the pics. 🧡😍
As much as I like to share over here, I also like to hide. ;)
Hehe, I get it. I’m still doing plenty of hiding, myself. ;)

They are the EASIEST ever to grow. I’ll send you some seeds if you have pot or patch or scratch of dirt!
somehow unsurprising 🫠
can we have it shipped to others as gift? ("stocking fluffers" but wont wait until Christmas)
Of course you can!!!! What a thoughtful idea. :)
This is INCREDIBLE!!
I love your Face Fluff products! And yes, you’ve enticed me to upgrade !!
Oh how lovely! Thank you Teyani, I’m thrilled. Which two would you like me to send you?
I still have plenty of the oil, so the other two, if that’s okay…
